Sygna Suit burning to life, Tempest flipped out two chipped Dive Balls. Shields flickered to life around him, Infinity Energy surging in his veins. The Firagarif stuck close to his side; a Reniculus raised Psychic hands to pass out a Heal Block on the offending Trainer and his pokemon.

unfortunately for Tempest Quinn, they take the wrong approach with HEAL BLOCK as the elite four has never been known to rely on such defensive tactics. he opts for aggression and force until it overpowers all else.[break][break]

The Reniculous goes flying from the assault, body flung into the snow. Tempest doesn't flinch when he calls it back into it's pokeball. It was weak and had done it's job. It would be fine with time.[break][break]

Compass takes the hot more fluidly, inching away with nimble steps. The strike lands wide, only stinging her flank. Electricity crackles up her body, surging forth in a stink of ozone. A Thunderbolt retaliation.[break][break]

"We have you surrounded." Tempest does not rise to poor bait. Only keeps eyes locked onto MATIAS SILPH.[break][break]

Who 'we' was is unclear, since the wide field is free from much else.

THUNDERBOLT washes over melmetal, sparks of yellow dancing across sleek steel, damaging but not nearly enough.[break][break]

at the mention of being surrounded, matias casts a glance around him, overdoing it just for the sake of it.[break][break]

"do we now? by what exactly? fucking snow?"[break][break]

he glares at Tempest Quinn, more annoyed at his time being wasted than at the ambush itself.[break][break]

his melmetal keeps up the assault with an ICE PUNCH, doing its best to stay close to the psychic-type.

Instead of answering, a loud 'fweet!' is loosened from Tempest's lips. It ripples over the snow scape even over the clash of liquid metal and psychic energy.[break][break]

From the smooth drifts of snow, eruptions of frost and ice. Rising from the pits they had been hiding themselves in, seven Eeveelutions stay in a circle around MATIAS SILPH. They shine with various energies from their terrible lineage; Shadows, Illumina, Pokerus, and Purification. Various states of corruption from Hoenn's own soil unbalancing already unstable DNA.[break][break]

A sudden Ally Switch sees the Ice Punch meeting now the Firagarif but the Eevee. Her Purified Disguise pops in an instant, but it gives her time to launch into a Dragon Hammer, draconic energy gathering to slam into the Melmetal with all her might.[break][break]

She isn't alone. The other Eeveelutions have mobilized, some against Matias himself and some against his pokemon.[break][break]

Compass charges at Matias directly from her swapped place, the Giraffe lowering her steely head as she crosses the distance. The two Shadows run for him as well; the Flareon builds up speed with a Trailblaze. The Glaceon sticks a bit more at a distance, being more fragile, but large Ice Shards hover around him, jagged, before being shot out like bullets at the man.[break][break]

A flurry of Leech Seed and a Confuse Ray at the Melmetal from the Leafeon and the Umbreon. This is also dueled with a Pin Missile barrage shot at it's back.[break][break]

Instead of rising to the verbal bait from Matias for the moment, Tempest only keeps his frown in place and refuses to humor him. His gaze is analytical as he watches the man himself, as if not caring for the actual battle surrounding him.[break][break]

His Sygna Suit flares to brighter life for a moment. Clear he's done something but he doesn't let his cards slip.

this must be what Tempest Quinn meant when they said they had matias surrounded. it's as clear as the leafeon before him now that glows in its ILLUMINA state.[break][break]

overestimating his own abilities, he conjures up a WALL OF EARTH but not in time to stop all of the attacks from slipping through. TRAILBLAZE knicks his leg and a few ICE SHARDS rip across his arm, not fatal by any means, but doing enough to spike his adrenaline.[break][break]

a pokeball cracks open then, and from it comes a burst of MEGA EVOLUTION as charizard's INFERNO sweeps across the area.[break][break]

"tch."[break][break]

melmetal, pinned down by LEECH SEED, CONFUSE RAY, and PIN MISSILE, is left with no choice but to make the EARTHQUAKE.
